LEDMatrixBoard turns any text into a scrolling LED dot-matrix sign on your iPhone or iPad. This page is for help, bug reports and feature requests.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a sign?

Tap + on the Boards screen, type your text, then choose colours, dot size, motion and effects. Tap Save to keep it, or Play to show it full screen. On iPhone, the player turns landscape; on iPad it works in any orientation.

Which languages and characters are supported?

Latin letters, Vietnamese with full diacritics, Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters, and emoji (emoji keep their own colours).

Does the screen stay on while the sign is playing?

Yes. The screen stays awake while the full-screen player is open. To stop playback, tap the screen and close the player.

Can I export my sign as a video or GIF?

Yes. From the board, choose Export, then pick MP4 (1280×720, 30 or 60 fps) or GIF (640×360, loops seamlessly). You can share it or Save to Photos. Free users watch a short ad before exporting; Premium users export straight away.

“Save to Photos” doesn’t work.

LEDMatrixBoard needs permission to add items to your photo library. Go to iOS Settings → LED Matrix → Photos and choose Add Photos Only (or Full Access).

Is LEDMatrixBoard free?

Yes. The free version includes every motion, the 12 style presets, solid and gradient backgrounds, and MP4/GIF export, with ads and a small “LEDMatrixBoard” watermark.

What does Premium include?

• All 12 templates
• Rainbow, sparkle and wave effects
• Metal and marquee frames
• Photo backgrounds
• No ads and no watermark

Premium is available as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device or after reinstalling?

Open Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy Premium.

How do I cancel the annual subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → LEDMatrixBoard and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next year. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Why do I see ads, and can I control them?

Ads keep LEDMatrixBoard free. You can turn off personalised ads by choosing Ask App Not to Track in Apple’s prompt or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you can change your ad consent in Settings → Privacy → Privacy Choices. Premium removes all ads.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Creating, playing and exporting signs all work offline. An internet connection is only needed for ads and purchases.

Are my boards backed up?

Boards are stored on your device only and are not synced between devices. They are included in your normal iPhone/iPad backup.
